High-Speed Magnetic Encoder Readhead
Inspected Unit by Unit, Gap Verified Before Shipment

Square-wave output · 0.2 mm installation gap · feeler gauges included, so every installation can be verified on site.

HP Encoder readhead

HP Encoder develops and supplies high-speed magnetic encoder readheads. The readhead uses an 8-wire square-wave differential output (A/B/Z) and works with mainstream servo and motion-control platforms. The standard installation gap is 0.2 mm, and 0.15 mm / 0.2 mm feeler gauges are included so the gap can be verified on site. Every unit is individually gap-inspected before shipment.

Why Us

How to Choose the Right Encoder Readhead

We publish every detail of the inspection process and the wiring definition

⌁

High-precision square wave

8-wire square-wave output with A/B/Z differential signals, compatible with mainstream servo and motion-control platforms.

◎

Strict gap inspection

0.20 mm feeler gauge tight (NO-GO), 0.15 mm gauge free (GO) — performed on every single unit.

▣

Proper anti-static packaging

Individually sealed in silver anti-static bags; the label records model, gauge specification and inspection date.

☰

Wiring definition published

Pin-to-wire-colour mapping is fully published — zero guesswork on site and lower risk of damage.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions engineers ask most when selecting and installing an encoder readhead

What is a high-speed magnetic encoder readhead?
A magnetic encoder readhead senses the magnetic signal of a magnetic track or gear and converts it into position signals for the controller. HP Encoder's readhead provides an 8-wire square-wave differential output (A/B/Z) and is compatible with mainstream servo and motion-control platforms.
What is the standard installation gap, and how do I verify it on site?
The standard installation gap is 0.2 mm. Each unit ships with 0.15 mm and 0.2 mm feeler gauges: at the correct gap the 0.20 mm gauge is tight (NO-GO) while the 0.15 mm gauge passes freely (GO). This lets you confirm the gap during installation without additional instruments.
What is included with each readhead?
0.15 mm / 0.2 mm feeler gauges, mounting screws and shims. Every unit is sealed individually in a silver anti-static bag whose label records the product name, model, gauge specification, wire colours and inspection date.
How is quality controlled before shipment?
Every readhead undergoes a 100% unit-by-unit gap Go / No-Go inspection (0.20 mm NO-GO / 0.15 mm GO) and signal verification, then is packed in an anti-static bag with bubble wrap for double protection.
How do I request a quotation?
Send your mounting dimensions and gap requirement, the signal type (square-wave A/B/Z), the control platform and the estimated quantity to service@hpencoder.com or through the enquiry form on this site. The more complete the information, the faster the quotation.
